About Me

Charles D Lutin, MD is a 68-year-old Board Certified Emergency Physician and Family Practitioner from Nashville, TN.  Doctor Lutin attended Vanderbilt University as an undergraduate and Duke University Medical School.  Postgraduate training included a Masters degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina, one year of Psychiatry training and a three-year Family Practice Residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.  His father was a lifelong Republican and his mother was a lifelong Democrat, proving that it is possible to get along together.

Doctor Lutin has practiced in hospitals in North Carolina, Arizona and Georgia and in 2007 was commissioned as a Lt Col in the USAF, finishing in Georgia in 2011.  He has a lifelong interest in aviation, and has held a private pilot license since 1982 with Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine rating added later.  He has two children, one in medical practice in North Carolina and one attending Georgia Tech.  He has been retired from full-time medical practice since late 2019.
